The first Sunday was dedicated to the probably most interesting part of Sydney: the harbour area with the Opera House, Harbour Bridge and Botanical Gardens. Starting with the essential tour through the Opera house, the day involved a lot of walking along the harbour, through the Botanical Gardens, over the Harbour Bridge with Lunar Park on the other side, and finally back the bridge to the Darling Harbour area. After being cloudy in the morning, the day became very sunny and hot, providing excellent views on the skyline and buildings as well as the Sydney sunday afternoon lifestyle in summer. In the evening I drove a round with the Monorail elevated train that goes around a few stations in the very centre of Sydney in about 15 minutes.
